SUMMARY:
This Insurance Service Specialist is responsible for maintaining and servicing assigned accounts to make sound underwriting decisions including marketing, customer service and administrative support.
Provides support to new and existing accounts while meeting established agency account retention goals through extraordinary customer service.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process and monitor insurance policies timely and accurately while ensuring compliance
- with company regulations
- Work with Farmers National Company farm managers regularly assisting them with various
- issues including form completion, policy interpretation, and clarification of insurance coverages
- Responsible for data entry, organization, policy billing, claim filing, and adherence to quality
- assurance standards
- Review policy documents, endorsement requests, and claim documents for accuracy
- Keep up to date with all changes that pertain to insurance and research specialty
- products as needed
- Successfully complete all coursework and education as assigned
- Performs additional duties as assigned and required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate's Degree in Business or related field
- 4+ year's work experience in lieu of Associate's Degree
- 1+ year's work experience in insurance or underwriting
- Knowledge of agency operations
- Experience in Office 365 and document management software, preferred.
- Agricultural knowledge preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiarity with risk assessment and risk management
- Appropriate State license(s) or ability to obtain within 6 months
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Continually required to sit, talk/hear and utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read a computer monitor and use a keyboard
- Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items less than 40 pounds
- Occasionally (5%) travel within specified region on prospective client visits and to attend company/industry functions as required
